The dance was arranged by Jan Porter, Commissioner of Social Activities, spon- sored by the Boy's and Girl's Leagues, and had its own disco Disc Jockey, Russ Mahler, an ex- Birmingham student. DANCING INDEX CUPID' WINTER wo DERLAN Although snow wasn't falling on December 16, 1977, the Vice-Versa Snowball Dance still went on as planned by the Y-Council. Couples danced to the great music and impatiently waited until the three Most Desirable Males were announced. 12th grade Most Desirable Male Louie Skoby and llth grade Most Desirable Male Robert Shapiro accepted their trophies with a kiss of congratula- tions. Too bad 10th grade Most Desirable Male Danny Avan didnt show up for the festivities. Maybe he was snowed in . . . l. llth grade Most Desirable Male, Robert Shapiro, with llth grade Homecoming princess, Fran Wiviott. 2. lst runner-up Sweetest Sweethearts, Jil Tucker and Steve Rottman. 3. 28 DRILL TEAM , l THEY RE SHARP SHARP . . SHARP' Who? The 1977-78 Drill Team of course! Led by Debbie Kimble and Jody Block they pleased their audiences right to the very end. Throughout the whole season the great formations for the shows were given standing ovations- and did they de- serve it! Not only did they march every Friday night but they also participated in two competi- tions and a parade at Magic Mountain for Hallow- een. Welcoming the visiting drill teams were greeters: Cathy Rose, Karen Esswein, Andrea Gesasg and Kim Pauli. Flag Girls this year were led by Steph- anie Martin and Jeanett Wainwright. Just one more word for the Drill Team and Flag Girls: Keep up the good work and remember to pick up your knees, point your toes, and smile!,' ff 7 CNA Q1
