V- 0 p , a A K, ,-VL K ,, , 1 ji t . I I It is: with - a great deal' ofpride and pleasure we dedicate the 1960 Wampum to Mr. Kenneth Weatherby, An instructor of printing, Mr. Weatherby spent Ttwentyyears ,inthe trade before becumingta teacher: It is one of his greatest pleasures to watch the printshop students advance in industry after graduation. If our dedicatee has dislikes, they could not be found, and under his favorite likes come skiing, fishing. He resides at Chenango Bridge with his charming wife, Olive, and daughter Susan, Never is North to fear that any item will be left that requires printing. While not onthe front line, in the public eye as much, perhaps, as some others --practically every event in the school requires a printed program, a poster, or some other service ofthe printshop. To our knowledge no person has ,ever been refused assistance from this department. In fact, to us, Mr, Weatherby personifies the thought that Cheerfu1ness is like perfumeg You can't have it on you without a little rubbing off on someone else. For all your service to Our School you have helped, and for all the pleasure of your company, we at North say.Thar1kS, if new in gflitti st MR. KENNETH WEATHERBY

Our 1960 Yearbook theme of Leaves has wonderful possibili- ties. We who live in a land of wooded hills, know first hand, the beauty of trees and leaves. Lakes filled with clear water from springs and streams deep in the forest, complete the scene. Staff photographers will not need to go far for ample material for illustrations. In March, with much to be done, we look forward to the completion of a Yearbook that meets the challenge to record for all of us another important year. Leaves and trees each have their own characteristics. Wood from the sugar maple is strong, takes abeauti- ful finish and endures for years. Our Seniors have acquired certain char- acteristics that make them strong candidates for successful careers. We wish the best for our '60 gradu- ates. wr f -in if A MR. TATE .4479
