Wg, How the memories rush back as we turn the pages of our book for 752wthat Latin assignment which never did get done, the test in chemistry that made us formula automatons for a day, tl1e memorization of historical facts to impress the teacher or prepare for that terrible comprehensive, the mountains and mountains of home work . . . Wie thought that we never would survive, but somehow the will to live is very strong . . . There was the lighter side, too . . . Color Day with its profusion of reds and blues and the Indian emphasis, the day we decorated the Christmas tree in the Main Corridor, preparing the ceramics display for the night when our parents came to visit the school . . . all these, and more, too . . . The soft lights and the sweet music at the Senior Prom, the excitement of the tag sales, the demon- stration of archery in the assembly, the costuming and staging of Annie Laurie, basketball and football games, promenading in the halls during the noon hour . . . Yes, it was all fun, and weire both glad and sorry to have it come to an end. Wie can never entirely forget the excitement and monotony, the fun and the tragedy, the joys and the disap- pointments, the achievements and the failures which sum up the school year of l95l-52 at North.

Mrs. Georgia McCall has guided many North people through the intricacies of the Latin Re- gents. She has aided students in their efforts to solve the mysteries of Caesar and Cicero since the opening of North High School in 1937. Not only has she inspired her pupils with Vivid pictures of the glory that was Rome, but she has also taught them some of the valuable lessons which life must teach. Her calm, quiet attitude, and her gentle under- standing of the problems which face teenagers have endeared her to students who never were in her classroom. North High is indeed fortunate, and the Wampum Staff is extremely proud to have known Mrs. McCall as a teacher, counselor, and friend. I 5
