Here students may obtain a delicious meal including' milk, a main dish, a vegetable, and dessert, at a reasonable price. A la carte dishes are also offered. However, many students bring their lunch from home and just buy some milk. ' 'W-A., 'Zig Custodians Most students are inclined to take for granted the cleanliness and neatness of our school classrooms, corri- dors, windows, sidewalks, and lawns. This is not acci- dental, but due to the conscientious and ellicient work of our crew of custodians. We are grateful to these gentlemen who care for the heating and illumination of our buildings and maintain our school in the peak of condition.

Mathematics The Central High niatliematics department lit-:uled by Mrs, Blanche Beers, ollers students 21 wide field from which to choose. This varied curriculum, which includes plane and solid ge- ometry, intermediate and advanced algebra, and trigonomctry, is designed to fulfill college entrance requirements. l'lane geometry is a full-year course, while trigonotnetry, advanced algebra, and solid ge- ometry are taught in one term. Intermediate algebra can be taken in one or two terms, de- pending on the requirements and ability of the student. The usefulness of math should never be underestimated: it is essential for a well- rounded education. Courses are available in chemistry and physics, a science major consists of both of these with ninth-grade biology. Mr. Roehni, better known to all as Doc, is assisted by Mr. .lohn Grace and Miss Kathryn Hyland. The most outstand- ing and enjoyable feature of the chemistry and physics courses is the laboratory period, in which fascinating experiments are performed and discussions are held. sm
