Our pre-season was good wiTh us winning mosT oT our games by large scores. Cur schedule opened wiTh Cyprus coming over To The Miners CourT. The score was neck and neck all The way buT The PiraTes came ouT in TronT by a score oT 57-60. The Tollowing game in which Bingham played hosT To The Murray crew, Murray used The same TacTics as Cyprus and came ouT on Top 52-39. BeTore Bingham could meeT These Two Teams again They had To play C5ranTsville, Judge Memorial, Tooele, and Dugway - a Team which iusT enTered inTo The league This year. Bingham came ouT on Top in all These games. When The Miners Traveled To Cyprus They showed The PiraTes how To play buT when The Tinal buzzer wenT oTT, The Cyprus PiraTes came ouT on Top wiTh a Win OT 48-58. When Bingham played The SparTans again They played in Their new gym. The game was a real Thriller. IT required an oyerTime in which The SparTans ouT- lasTed us and won by a 63-62 score. In The second round Bingham again deTeaTed GranTsville, Judge, Tooele and Dugway. In The Dugway game, which was The lasT game oT The season, Mannion, The highesT scorer in The sTaTe, seT a new record oT 50 poinTs in one game.
