The High School P.T.A. was ioined wi+h fhe Nafional P.T.A. in l939 by Mrs. David C. Lyons. The ro+al membership of 'rhe High School branch is +wen'ry-five. The school P.T.A. is iusf one branch of l'he six ihal' make up l'he surrounding area. Each one acls as an individual unil' bul' all are 'Federafed wifh lhe Nafional Associa'rion. The six comprising fhe group are: Copperfield, Highland Boy, Bingham Cenfral, Copper+on Grade, Bingham High and Lark Grade School. Each of fhe six has carried on various proiecls, such as women's gym classes, sales, and heallh programs. Many ac+ivi+ies have been sponsored, eifher direcily or indirecfly, by 'rhe High School P.T.A. ln fhe fall, a back +0 school nighl was prepared 'For 'rhe parenls of +he s'ruden+s. On +his nighl' all paren+s +ha'r wished, could aH'encl 1'he classes of lheir children. Thus again 'I'he goal was achieved of beH'ering +he relaiionship belween feachers and parenis. On January sixfeenih a concerfwas broughl' lo l'he High School wilh fhe help of +he P.T.A. A+ a la'rer dale 'Founders' day was honored and celebraled al' +he school. ln November +he school music 'fesfival was presenfed by +he P.T.A. Talks on child psychology have been given: adull' educalion, dealing wi'rh inferior decora- Hon, has been furlhered, and fhe care of l'he children's feeih by denlisl' examina- Hon and lic-shols were also sponsored by fhe P.T.A.
