Every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night will find members of the Kyote paper and annual staffs hard at work in the journalism room. Each has his own jobs to do and a certain time limit in which they must be done. All must work closely together towards a good paper and annual. Many students who have graduated from journalism course at Bil- lings highschool have gone on to major in journal- ism, and are now holding down responsible positions on big papers. lournalism is taught by Mr. Henry Harsch. Pictured are Niki O'Brien and Lynette True- love working over the ad dummy. And the Band Played On . . . Do you remember that music that set your body to twitchin' and your feet to tappin' during pep as- semblies and football and basketball games? Do you remember the snappy halftimes and intricate drills which the band, assisted by the majorettes, per- formed? Yes, in almost every big school function the band has participated, and many students feel that it is the best in the state. The band is directed by Mr. Stan Richards and is divided into two parts. Oneee consisting of all the students, marches during half- times. The other, the smaller group, plays for the assemblies and other functions. Yes, it is a game that is really a lot ot fun. lt is very similar to baseball, but is played with a whiskit instead ot a glove. Miss Lillian Cervenka, girls' instructor, demonstrates the game while Betty Underwood, Sherri Penners, Lorraine Carmack, Unis Ostrum, Sharyl Hudio, Colleen Sherman, Evelyn lohnson, Adelia Burnside, Bernice Walters, Shirley Diedee, Barbara Brink, Barbara Miller, Betty Weese, and Norma Egan look on. Tumbling and volleyball are also part ot the program. lust Good Clean Fun . . . Larry O'Donnell and Norman Olson watch Torn Morgan as he makes ready to flip the basketball into the basket. Basketball along with soccer, toot' ball, volleyball, boxing, and wrestling is part ot the good clean tun that typities the boys' gyrn classes. Sometimes, too, it the instructor isn't there these boys have another game which is fun. lt is commonly called, l wonder how many tirnes l can knock the ball over the net into the girls' gym without Miss Cervenka getting mad. Boys' gym is taught by Wil- liarn V. Lazetich, and Boy A. Morin.
