Although this speed is important, the very first thing to learn in typing is accuracy which is brought about by the typing and retyping of drills and exercises. Then, later on, students work on speed with one, three, five, and finally ten minute speed tests. PAGE 8 Let's Keep Books . . . Bookkeeping, like typing, is a very necessary subject for commercial majors. Students enrolled in bookkeeping classes will be among the future bookkeepers and accountants of the United States. Anyone planning to own his own business should definitely know at least the fundamentals of book- keeping while a general knowledge of it aids secre- taries and salespeople.
