Click, click. click say the keys, as they are in- dustriously pushed down by Barbara Chapple and Carol johnson. Click, click, click. Yes, in typing class keys are always clicking. Slowly at first, but faster and faster as the year progresses until it finally seems as though your fingers were flying. Although this speed is important, the very first thing to learn in typing is accuracy which is brought about by the typing and retyping of drills and exercises. Then, later on, students work on speed with one, three, five, and finally ten minute speed tests. PAGE 8 Let's Keep Books . . . Bookkeeping, like typing, is a very necessary subject for commercial majors. Students enrolled in bookkeeping classes will be among the future bookkeepers and accountants of the United States. Anyone planning to own his own business should definitely know at least the fundamentals of book- keeping while a general knowledge of it aids secre- taries and salespeople. To aid students in learning this subject projects and practice sets, and adding machines are used. Shown using these sets are Florence Fox and Betty Leeper. Class is taught by Richard Thorson.
