Mr. Flaherty To the Class of 1980: Let me congratulate you upon your graduation from Billerica. Memorial High School. Your diligence and study have produced a level of education not enjoyed by everyone. Many of you will continue to increase that level through some type of further education. This number continues to increase with each graduating class and we are delighted to recognize that fact. The 1980’s are going to require more of our young people than ever before. Not one single graduate of the Class of 1980 can afford to be passive toward the future of his country. There is too much at stake for all of us. You must perform to the fullest of your potential. In case you have forgotten, you are the first class to graduate from Billerica Memorial High School that required 95 credits for graduation. While this is a minimum requirement, most of you earned 100 credits and more and are to be commended on this fine achievement. Best of luck and good health in all you undertake in the future.
