BASKETBALL The I934 baske+baIl season was The mosT successTul one ThaT The local school has ever experienced. The A, B and C Teams won The Sub-League Championships in each class. Coach L. E. Reynolds coached all Three Teams. During The league schedule we won 23 ouT oT 24 games played, which is quiTe an unusual record. However, several men showed up well in These pracTice meeTs, Several OT The boys did noT geT in To any oT These mceTs which placed Them aT a disadvanTage in The preliminary meeT, as They had had no inTer-school compeTiTion during The year. They also won The lnTercIass Volleyball Championship wiTh The Sophomore Team as a close second. The Girls' League sponsored a MoThers' Tea on April 26, I934. Upon The arrival oT The guesTs several hosTesses escorTed The moThers around The school building To The diTTerenT classrooms and explained abouT The school. A large group oT moThers aTTended. The Tumbling Team has increased in size This year and under Miss Dean's supervision has been able To Torge ahead in Their worlc. There are I2 in The Team and They are planning To have more members nexT year.
