The Action Begins With All Of Us Naturally, the main pur- pose of school is education , but no person can fulfill his obligation to his school by just coming. These photos need no identifcation. What is happening is obvi- ous. The people here are playing a vital role in our school. Without activities, the task of coming and learning would be an end- less saga of 180 long days. 0 15 x ' L ♦ M « » -« % ' ;! •

Flag??? Football DOWN - SET - HUT! The football females are at it again. The third year of competition proved to have as many flaring tempers, bruises, and as much tackling as in previous years. The upperclass women took the edge in the annual event by defeating the underclass girls by two touch- downs. The game was sponsored by the Student Council, and proceeds went to the March of Dimes. Many people were involved. The thought of being coached by good- looking guys from the varsity foot- ball team attracted players to try out for the teams, and of course the coaches had fun laughing at those silly girls. The players were inspired by the beautiful, broad-shouldered, balloon- chested cheerleaders. All in all, everyone enjoys Powder Puff week. Kent Rice and Duane Thomas reveal the secret of their shapeliness. LEFT: Laura Robbins is confident of the superiority of her voice and is not about to be out-yelled. ABOVE: Hey wait! We get to lead the next cheei so you leave that microphone alone. f r i f P r r The upperclassmen are undaunted by the fact that they are outnumbered by their younger counterparts, but they still feel that they had better learn anything they can from that pep talk. High spirits characterize the lower- classmen uTtbey contribute their share of noise to the pep rally.
