Not For GiHs Only! FHA stands for Future Homemakers of America, which does not necessarily mean future housewives. Surprisingly enough there are several guys who are members of FHA. The cooking and sewing classes are unique experiences for some, but that is not the reason for FHA. This organization ' s goal is to develop leadership and well-informed people for the future. Ice Cream Sup- pers, films, the hot dog stand at the Howdy Carni- val, selling candy, and attending Area and State Conventions are only a few activities club members enjoy . OFFICERS: Lisa Loudamy. Sec.-Treas.; Yvonne Kimble, First V. Pres.; Rochelle Fair, Second V. Pres.; Sonya Reyna, Jr. Chapter Pres.; Kenda Born, Pres. ' Wait a minute, you can ' t take our picture! Not For Boys Only! when one thinks of Future Farmers of America, one generally thinks of an organization for boys that teaches them to raise livestock. You are wrong on two counts. In the first place, they are also taught how to be able to manage a farm or ranch financially. In the second place, there are girls in this organization. While in the process of learning to raise their animals, they participate in stock shows and in both district and state competition. Each year a FFA Sweetheart is elected by the members of the club, and for the second year in a row. Miss Barbie Kothman has been elected. Barbie is a junior varsity cheerleader and a member of the girls ' track team. These kids meet the first Tuesday of every month in the vocational agriculture room. Mr. Vines and Mr. Seay are sponsors of the club. MEMBERS: FRONT ROW: Jerry Bennett. Lyle Grantham, Tony Lane. Bill Stockton. Paul Dean Ray, Chris Cha- ncy, Billy Joe Cones, Larry Schaffer.
