After that initial so- cial, the work begins as they seek to serve their school and community. Working with hieadsta rt is one of the most pleasurable activities, for FHA ' ers are able to help orient youngsters to the rou- tines and activities necessary for performing in the public schools.

pep rallies help bring enthusiasm to students Pep rallies were one of the great strengths that the student body was able to show. The students were always willing to cheer for their team and helped give them much needed confidence. Although many were unable to attend the El Paso game, there were many fans at the early morning pep rally ready and willing to cheer for their team. A — The life-siie Barney from the band helps to promote spirit in the pep rallies. B — Tricia Cherry presented Mike Adams with a Back of the Week award during the pep rally before the Midland Lee game. C — Dr. Terry Pate diagnoses Steer Robby Lloyd as having Gold fever. D — Equipped with suitcase and pillow, Tricia Cherry prepares to go to El Paso for the game. E — The Steer varsity team loads onto the bus after the exciting El Paso pep rally. F — The Steers watch with interest at the early morning pep rally.
