students spotlight celebrities To the tune of 2001 Fanfare, Janice Majors was crowned Band Sweetheart on October 17. Keith Gum crowned the queen while Susan Beaird presented her with a bouquet of roses. Other nominees were Betty Chavarria and Twinkle Johnson. Two weeks later, October 31, the football team chose Patti Spier as their sweetheart. Also nominated by the team, were Martha Fierro and Anne Talbot. The new queen was crowned by Bobby Heith. student life
