NHS Grows In Beverly Peters lights the symbolic candle for character. The National Honor Society inducted forty new members this morning in the Steer Gymnasium. Jan Campbell, Beverly Peters, Mary Boren, and Kristine Britain spoke on the qualifications of leadership, character, service, and scholarship. The inductees had to meet these qualifications, have an average of 90 or above, and meet other re- quirements to be eligible for membership. At the traditional assembly before both fellow students and their parents, the new members were presented with carnations, lighted candles, and were pinned by the present members of the society.
