X LT LAWRENCE I. GORDON, ASSISTANT NAVIGATOR NAVIGATIONXEXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT With its 11 different subdivisions the Navigation! Executive Department is the most diverse department aboard BIDDLE. Supporting the Executive Of- ficer's mission of conducting the ship's administrative affairs, alongwith en- forcing military requirements and in- suring safe and skillful navigation, each section is tasked with its: own unique duties essential to the success of the ship's overall mission. The Personnel Office's Personnel- men maintain and update enlisted crewmember's service records, along with preparing leave forms and pro- cessing transfers. Responsible for pre- paring and routing ship's- correspon- dence, instructions and. notices, along ligious Program Specialist answer American Red Cross messages, counsel crewmembers and process Navy Relief Grants. Acting as Assistant Public Af- fairs Officer, BIDDLE's Journalist is re- sponsible for Closed-Circuit TV pro- gramming underway, photographing official functions and all internal and external public relations activities. The Command Career Counselor, a Navy Counselor, helps direct crew- members toward the best career path by providing information on schools and benefits open to them. The Master-at- Arms force is a small group of tempo- rarily assigned personnel under the ship's Chief Master at Arms' QCMAAJ direction.
