Over the past thirty-five years, Bexley High School and the surrounding area have undergone various physical changes. The addition connecting the high school and junior high gave rise to a new cafeteria and kitchen, as well as office space for health care, speech therapy, and executives of the school. The addition was also beneficial in that it provided for a library with more extensive resources. In addition, improvements were made in the school’s athletic facilities. The tennis courts were originally in a side-by-side arrangement, and are now aligned along Stanwood Road. A playground replaced the baseball diamond, and the track was widened and elongated. The changes in the outward appearance of Bexley High School indicate the constant activity within the school and community as each grows and expands to meet new challenges.
