The senior float — “It's the Thought That Counts. The evening's excitement climaxes as Beth Lodge is crowned Queen. Spirit of Bexley! Let’s Get Rowdie! These cheers frequented the halls during Spirit Week. Included in this year’s activities was the float building which kept many people up late. Many students could be found late Thursday night and after school on Friday finishing up their floats. Seniors took first place with their theme It's the Thought That Counts.” In second place were the juniors with Bomb the Barons.” The freshmen took third with Batter the Barons.” In fourth place were the sophomores with Burn the Barons,” and in fifth place was the band with Drum the Barons.” Both teachers and students got Fired up” at Thursday night’s pep rally, followed by the traditional bon fire. All that week's excitement was topped off on Friday night with Bexley defeating the Buckeye Valley Barons and the crowning of Queen Beth Lodge. Saturday night’s dance, featuring Boss,” closed the week’s activities. Seniors are busy preparing the lounge for the Hall Decorating Contest. I 2 Student Life

Let’s Get Fired Up Although Student Council lost $150.00 on this year’s Homecoming, it was still considered by many to be one of the finest. Under the leadership of Amy Arnett and Mary Beth Palmer, many new activities were introduced. These included T-Shirt Day, Western Day, Look-Alike Day, Baby Face, and Anything Goes. Among the traditional activities were the carnation sale. Blue and White Day, and the Thursday night bonfire. Chip Wendt took the honors of the cutest baby face, while Mark Essig was crowned Homecoming King by the Senior “Enjoys” at the bonfire. The Seniors took first place in the Anything Goes Contests and dress-up days, thus earning the title of Most Spirited Class. The Seniors' winning graffiti. R. G.
