FLYERS ARRIVE SAFELY IN CHINA Announcement was made tonight of the arrival at San Pio Airport, China, of Mary Williard and Walter Barrington, famous husband and wife flying team, and the breakage of the World record by one second. They were met by a cheer- ing throng that threatened to damage their specially built 125 motored mono- plane, an experiment of Janet Meuser, famous designer. INAUGURATION HELD TODAY AT CAPITAL First woman president in the history of our country, Blanche Santurello, took her oath of office today from Chief Jus- tice of the Supreme Court, Lloyd Grace- man. President Santurello is supported in office by Vice-President Constance Palmer. The new cabinet officers who were present at the ceremony are Secre- tary of Underproduction, Richard Koch: Secretary of Exterior, Lynn Alfordg Sec- retary of Secretaries, Elizabeth Baumang Secretary of Air Corpses, Jack Olday: Secretary of Foreign Fairs, Clinton War- reng Secretary of County Fairs, Theodore Miller. After the inauguration the presi- dent and cabinet were entertained at the home of Charles Murray, Ambassador to Iceland. SURPRISE ESCAPE Head Asylum Matron, Meredith Beck, announced to Chief of Police, Bernard Osterhage, the escape of two homocidal maniacs of the institution, Nancy Purdy and Phyllis Smith. HOSPITAL OPEN FOR BUSINESS The New Horse Hospital at the corner of N. 3rd, and E. 22nd, built by noted architect Jo Ann Shaffer is now open to the horse public. Chief Surgeon Ruth Himes will be assisted in operation by attending physician Joan Davis, and Supervisor of Nurses, Marilyn Hughey. FAMOUS DANCER TO GIVE PERFORMANCE Ascending rapidly to fame, the new Ballerina of Bexley, Tony Oelgoetz, will tonight give a private performance for Countess of Sutton, the former Marcella Van Bibber, in the Drexel Theater. John Best will lead the Whitehall Philhar- monic in accompaniment. NEW RECORD SET A new riveting record was set at Curtiss-Wright today by a team of three young women, Miss Mary Bringardner, Miss Doris Kalish and Miss Nancy Krumm. The three winners were or- dered to the hospital for a two day re- cuperation period.
