She promises to send me an autographed copy of the book when it's published. Her writing is of a mature nature, and she well deserves the words of praise which critics have sent in her direction. Theophilus Smith recently opened a photographic studio here in Bexley, which I believe will event- ually rival any gallery of its kind in the country. He specializes in making photographs of beautiful women. ' One of the prominent attorneys here in the city is that happy warrior, that charnpion of democracy Julius Schlezinger. He has the fear and the respect of every crooked lawyer in town. Success after success has rewarded Sam Rutherford's efforts in the brokerage business. Today he is BexIey's wealthiest citizen. At a recent meeting of the board of directors of the American Life and Accident Insurance Co., Lewis Rietz was made president of the company. He is one of the youngest men in the insurance business to hold such a responsible position. Laura Reed is coaching girls' basketball in a private girls' school in the East. Her teams have gained nation-wide attention. There is another young lady of our class who has taken to the stage. She is Ruth Roberts. After her success in "The Toy Shop" at Bexley High, she became deeply interested in drama and is quite well known for her ability. Martha Stewart, who did quite a bit of typing for The Torch in school, early this spring brolie every known typing record, writing 256 words per minute on the new Overwood Noiseless mac une. Francis Rowland is an industrial engineer of merit. He is a foreman of the largest steel mill in the United States. Talmadge Crawshaw is rapidly coming into his own as a director of national reputation. His latest stage production was a smashing success. Walter Hanes is chief of detectives in the New York State Police Department. Sanford Tuckerman is numbered among the few people who have won places in Aviation's Hall of Fame. You, of course, read of his recent achievement, that of Hying around the world nine times without a single stop. Mary Wheeler is a member of the stock company which plays in Columbus the year round. She has been quite a success. As for myself, I'm getting along swell. I'm still writing police news on the Bexley Post-Gazette, but I got a raise last week. I'm making S27 a week now. Write when you get time.
