Teacher rotation, in which the students acquire a new teacher each quarter, and team teaching are among the many innovations. HISTORY DEPARTMENT The history department merged with the English department for the writing of research papers this year. Instead of having two entirely different papers, the seniors chose a history subiect and the paper was corrected by the English paper for form and the history teacher for information. The history de- partment also participated in the Large Group Instruction program at Beverly I-Iigh. Lectures given by department mem- bers were on the Monroe Doctrine, Alienated Youth, Art of the Renaissance, Alcoholism, Criminology, and Drugs, and the Critique of Franklin Roosevelts Domestic Policy.
