Creotive Expression . . .' Aegis The outlet for B.H.S. literary and artistic talent is our school magazine, AEGIS. Besides the four publi- cations of AECIS each year, a major activity of the magazineis staff'is the traditional assembly. This year, members of the AEGIS staff were again offered an opportunity to demonstrate their wide variety of tal- ents. K. Bekeritis, fimmediate lower left! made her singing debut, while P. Hausmann fcenteri gave his interpretation of a classical dance. Members of the faculty were also seen in the assembly. Mr. Richard Batchelder fimmediate lower rightj made a cameo appearance and udid his thing. The assembly was climaxed by a beauty contest. As seen in the bottom photo, the beauties H. Connaughton, N. Pitman, Historian. 9 L13 I -J Distributive Education The Distributive Education course of Beverly High School is a program designed to give those students whose chosen future careers are in the field of merchandising, the advantage of both classroom and on-the-job train- ing. Mornings are spent in discussion with their advisor, Mr. Richard Di- Carlo and doing classwork related to buying and selling. The students then leave school at 11:15 A.M. to com- mence their work day at jobs obtained for them by Beverly High School. This dual training is a definite ad- vantage for the students as they em- bark upon merchandising careers in our highly competitive world.
