I-HG!-IUGI-IT OF Tl-IE SEASON Beverly's 1966 football team held an out- standing distinction, being the first to face an out of state team. The Big Green of Notre Dame Academy at West Haven, Con- necticut, traveled to meet the Panthers for the season's seventh game. Notre Dame, one of the East's top teams, felt the Panthers' claws in the most exciting game of the year. Although the game ended in a 6-6 tie, both teams displayed excellent sportsmanship. Notre Dames lightning fast defense tackles Panther G. Randall after he received a pass gaining yardage for Beverly. 28
