BUSINESS DEPARTMENT The Business Department of B.t-l.S. was once again under the direction of Miss Eleanor Lambertson. Stu- dents were provided with sound vocational training which would enable them to find and hold a position after graduation and help them to become good citi- zens and consumers. A wide variety of courses was offered to students in the business department. They received instruction in business mathematics and bookkeeping, shorthand and typing, office and secretarial practice, economics and law, salesmanship, advertising, and distributive education, and consumer education. There were a few extra-curricular activities offered to students by the Business Department. Business man- agement of the Aegis and Beverlega, which consisted of advertising, subscriptions, and typingj were all handled by business students. Miss Rose Brancato headed the Aegis business department, while Miss Margaret Miner directed the Beverlega advertising committee. Mrs. Evelyn Ricciardi advised the Beverlega subscriptions committee, and Mrs. Constance Golds- worthy headed the'Beverlega typing committee. Also, Mr. Edward Deep advised. the Retail Merchandizing Club, a club associated with his distributive educa- tion class. 23
