Studied Scientwc Methods Science The Science Department, under the direction of Mr. Richard Preston. includes well-developed courses for those who wish to study biology, chem- istry, or physics. The lab facilities are available to any students who show ability in these fields. Mr. Paul Caradonna and lVlr. Philip Kendrick head the Scientific Investigation Club, which is available to students wishing to know the secrets of science. This year. a Physics Projects Club has been started for those students showing special aptitude for physics. There is no specified club, but those pupils expressing an interest in chemistry are able to start projects in the afternoon with lVlr. Preston. Foreign Lan uoige The Foreign Language Department. under the direction of Miss Eleanor Warren. provides an opportunity for students to become acquainted with the languages, cultures. and customs of our neighbor countries. Languages offered at Beverly High School are German. French, Latin. and Spanish. Recently a new language laboratory was added to the Foreign Language Department. en- abling those stuclying German, French. or Spanish to develop their speaking as well as their writing abilities. Besides being used as a part of classroom work. the laboratory was made available for use after school and during study pe- riods for those students particularly in- terffstefl in achieving greater fluency in language. 20 Listen, my children, and you shall hear . . .
