The great publicity recently given to science has served to increase in our students .1 72 wqazda, Juniors A. Bianco and B. Fecko are happy that they received a gold star certificate for their entry. a greater interest in the subject as well as an increased appreciation of the opportunities P uf ,M Ts i. ijifiii it rwrrk . ' A offered to them in their science courses at Bethlehem Catholic. Physics and chemistry, rostered for the seniors and juniors respec- tively, make them cognizant of the important scientific factors in the atomic world of today. The sophomores, engaged in the study of biology, acquire an appreciation of the beauty of Codis creation and learn what makes living things tick. The Science Club, under the direc- tion of Sister Edward Anita, is affiliated with the Science Clubs of America. Holding oiiice in this organization are: Joseph Russ, presi- dent, and Nancy Kuruc, vice president, both of the class of '58. Offices of secretary and treasurer, respectively, belong to Helen Jan- cowski and Kathleen Marschang, juniors. Bethlehem Catholics Science Fair, held the week of January 20, had for its theme, Science for TUHl0l'I'0W.S Atomic Worldf, Space permits of our picturing only a cross section of the many and varied projects offered for display by our students. From these contributions are selected twenty to be entered in the Lehigh Yalley Science Fair in Allentown. on April 16, 17 and 18. .f The tables are turned as Mr. Du- rinzi, our photographer, is snapped as he views a biology project.
