The paper is tinanced by the annual drive at the beginning ot the school year. Each student strives to acquire one subscription in addition to his own, but the students with the real Becahi school spirit aspire, as usual, to obtain many more. After inspecting the new TIDINGS' room, Father Powell examines a copy of the newspaper, and, at the same time, Margaret Yeager, editor, and James Goodin, sports editor, explain how Sister Regina Rita, faculty adviser, distributes the assignments that result in the publi- cation of such an excellent school news- paper. Constance Grund lcenterl, associate editor ot Tidings, instructs the undergraduates of the staff how to write headlines.
