A , , A LxLLL SX O C -I-9 V ...x y The 4979-4980 Berwick Academy Hockey Team had a very successful season with a 7 wins and 3 losses record. Anders Frelin was voted the most improved player, Dean Gilbert, the most valuable player, and Brad Allen was voted captain. Because of early morning practices, a great deal of dedication was demanded from each player. As a result, head Coach Douglas Housten, was able to mold this group into a team very quickly. Mr. Housten did his usual excellent job coaching and says that with such young talent as Joey Chase returning, the future looks bright for our hockey program. All the players would like to thank Mr. Housten for his unselfish attendance at all early morning practices.

One of The fundamenTal aims of The prograrn is To Teach winTer camping skills. This year was parTicularly successful due To The lack of snow! However, all good Things always come To a posiTive finish. This year's OuTdoor Challenge group will always be remembered for iTs more noTable human behavior aTTribuTes. Try To undersTand The seemingly paradoxical concepT of friendly violence or The famed KiTTredge Principle - When all else fails don'T use your head. Perhaps The group will also be remembered for iTs eTymologizing , in parTicular The word 'nice' came To mean anyThing ouTrageously performed, no maTTer how inane, insane, or profane!
