How we meet these problems will be determined by the inspiration and knowledge we have received at Berry. We cannot capture the real meaning of Berry in this volume because that is known to the individual who works, studies, and worships here. But as you thumb through these pages years from now, we hope you will recall memories that will help you along life's way. Has the staff failed in the production of your 1957 Torch? To some it is lust another book, however, to those students who have put their hearts into Berry, it will in the years to come serve as a reminder of Berry and its influence. Every class, since the first volume in 1947, has been very fortunate in having a yearbook staff that was willing to work many long and arduous hours, over and above their normal duties, iust for the satisfaction of seeing a iob well done. The Class of 1957 is no exception. Likewise, it has been interesting to note the activities and achievements of the Seniors in the years following their gradua- tion from high school. Those who have intelligently applied their knowledge and abilities to the task at hand fOr the satisfaction gained from seeing a worthy iob well done, without watching the clock, have invariably forged ahead.
