Historian: Rose Lollar . ffmfafuf The history of our class began in 1951 when 23 of our present seniors entered Berry Elementary School. They were: Milford Bailey, Charles Barrentine, Billy Cannon, Bill Lunsford, Bobbie Pendley Rose Lollar, Jimmy Cannon, Brenda Cook, Thomas Cunningham, Larry Davidson, Lawanna Dunn Felt- man, Shelby Jean Freeman Pendley, Wanda Harbin, Kenneth Hocutt, Laura Sims, Jackie McGough, Katie Pendley, Shirley Pendley, Larry Smith, Shirley Strickland, Mildred Watkins, Bobby Yerby, and Doris Whitson. These grammar School days passed off quickly, so it seems now, and in 1957 we entered high school. Before leaving grammar school, however, other students joined us such as: Mack Tidwell, Jerry Busby, James Knight, and Lina Honeycutt. In high school, the following people joined us: Mitchell Grey, Bobbie Bowen, Irene Stoker, Paulette Parrish, Carol Moore, Leon Pendley, James Cotton, Doris Davis, Melba Ellis, Linda Earnest, Belinda Earnest, Imo Lee Ghant, Paul Hammack, Weldon Hodges, Earl Locke, Jimmy Moore, Hoyt Sanford, Robbie Simpson, Marilyn Wilcutt, Richard Key, Jimmy Knight, and Robert Sprinkle. Presidents of our class have been: Mildred Watkins, seventh through ninthg Kenneth Hocutt, tenth and eleventhg and Larry Davidson, twelfth grade. We have had three cheerleaders from our class, Wanda Harbin, Mildred Watkins, and Robbie Simpson: one Campus Queen, Robbie Simpson: and one Homecoming Queen and F.F.A. Sweetheart, Rose Lollar, Almost all the offices of the clubs are held by Seniors. During our Junior year, we presented the Seniors with a Junior-Senior Prom. The theme of it was Mardi Gras . Wanda Harbin and Thomas Cunningham were elected Queen and King of the Mardi Gras . Our Senior football players are Mitchell Grey, Charles Barrentine, Kenneth Hocutt, Jimmy Moore, and Bill Lunsford. As the end of our high school days draw near, I would like to say in behalf of the Senior class, a sincere Thank you to all the teachers, friends, and our principal, Mr. Fred Webster, for making this, our Senior year, the most wonderful year of all. We shall never forget you.
