She still isnlt married, but she has her eyes set on a pilot to whom she is a private stewardess. Jim Tom Handley is now head of the National Guard in the United States. The boys love the free party that he gives each week. I saw Greta Pendley carefully preparing chappatis for her family. She is married to the Maharajah of India. I could see the Berry County Commissioners' Court. Seated at the table was one of my old '59 classmates, Sonny Nelson. Gosh! There's Terry Lollar, Lavon Gray and History Our formal education as a student at Berry Elementary School started in 1947. Thirteen of our present Seniors began this long and exciting journey. These are Annie Sue Pinion, Ronnie Crownover, Hoyt Stough, Rosemary Kimbrell, Bobby Pendley, Ray Clark, Terry Lollar, Ken- neth Lollar, Macon Shepherd, ,Ioan Watkins, Frances Knight, Mavis Barrentine, Lehman Pendley. Our grammar school times sped by quickly leaving behind many happy and sad memories. As we began our days in Berry High School we felt as if we were fully grown. In the 7th grade our class was split into two divisions and we had two class presidents- Ray Clark and ,loan Watkins. The next year Ted Harbin was elected president, and since then our class has only had these two boys as president. We were also honored in the 7th grade by having Campus Queen and King, David Moore and Shirley Seaborn, reign- ing. In the 8th grade we won again. This year it was Rosemary Kimbrell and Macon Shepherd. The next year we set a goal to win Campus Queen and King every year until we graduated from Berry High. By class co-operation and help of our parents and friends we succeeded. In the 9th grade, Tallulah Studdard and Ted Harbin reigned: 10th grade, Linda Webster and Ray Clark, llth grade, Billie June Simpson and Kenneth Godsey, and, finally, as seniors, ,loan Watkins and Rolph Feltman reigned and we had fulfilled our goal. Our class has always been prominent in school activities. Almost all of our boys have participated in at least one sport. Ray Clark and Ted Harbin were co-captains of the football team this year. Others participating in football were Rolph Feltman, Sonny Nelson, Kenneth Godsey, Lavon Gray, ,lim Tom Handley, Bobby Pendley, Jimmy Pendley, Basketball players are Ted Harbin, Kenneth Godsey, Sonny Nelson and Lehman Pendley. Cheerleaders from our class Kenneth Lollar. They were members of my class, too. They have really got it made because they have just finished paving all the roads in the county. I was dumbfounded when I came to and found Mr. Brock and the lab students broken-hearted because they thought l was gone for good. f And, we see Tallulah happily married to the vice-presi- dent of the Berry Pharmaceutical Co. since she learned so much in Mr. Brock's chemistry class.l TALLULAH ANN STUDDARD. Prophet have been Linda Webster, Tallulah Studdard and Joan Wat- kins. Ioan and Tallulah have been head cheerleaders. We have had three Miss Berrys -Tallulah Studdard, Sherry Poe, Shirley Seaborng two FFA Sweethearts, Tallulah Studdard and ,loan Watkins, and one Homecoming Queen, Rosemary Kimbrell. Almost all clubs or activities had a Senior as president this year and a Senior filled almost all other offices. Our Senior Play was a delightful three-act teen-age com- edy entitled '6The Magic Touch. Those in the play were: Billie June Simpson, John Barrentine, Mavis Barrentine, Tallulah Studdard, Sherry Poe, Lehman Pendley, Terry Lollar, Hoyt Stough, Ronnie Crownover, Shirley Seaborn, Joan Watkins, Annie Sue Pinion, Joy Ann Woods, Greta Pendley, Betty Cunningham, Vera Nell Feltman, Linda Webster, Rosemary Kimbrell, Shirley Watkins, Earl Pendley. Our class history would not be complete unless we men- tioned our Senior Class Sponsor, Mrs. Brock. We will not forget her kindness and guidance and all the other teachers' gracious help. In closing, we must remember our beloved principal, Mr. Fred Webster. As teacher, friend and .guide he has truly succeeded. To our many friends, our parents, and fellow-students-we are what you have molded us to be. We would like to say a sincere NThanks. JOAN WATKINS, Historian
