Key Club President: Henry Hudson Vice-President: Chuck Steiner Secretary: Allan Chappelle Treasurer: Dou Cox One of the most active groups in the school is the Key Club. The main purpose of this club is to sei-ve the community. These boys help to make the school life livelier in sports, projects, and other activities. The Key Club is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club and its mem- bers have earned recognition in both the community and at home. To become a member of the Key Club, a boy who is in Senior High must be approved by the principal of the school. The mem- bership is limited to only thirty senior high boys. Key Club boys took an active part in the annual Senior Beauty Walk, held in December. The senior boys were escorts for the girls in the Beauty Walk. Senior National Honor Society Members of the National Honor Society are al- ways exercising the properties of scholarship, lead- ership, service, and character. The members, con- trary to the belief that all Honor Society members always stay home to study, are a group of the most popular, outgoing and influential people in school. They are headed by Mr. Martin and Miss Seay, un- der whose direction they conducted two tappings this year. Besides being a group of very all-around good students, they, of course must maintain an over-all A average. This group of re- sponsible young citizens strives to promote good citizenship and stress patriotism in all that they do. Among its many projects was included helping the for- gotten children at the Partlow School at Christmas. These young people did a fine job of bringing cheer and hope to the children.
