Chem Teams Show Promising Future team scores are computed. To decide the victor of the meet, the highest scores of the first and second year team are compared to those of other schools. Besides participating in competitions organ- ized by the New Iersey Chemistry League, four of the best representatives of the team went to May's State Science Day at Farleigh Dickinson. Being a member of the team means hard work, but Mr. Hague, the advisor, feels that it also provides an excellent and unique opportu- nity for those who plan to continue in science. '51, Equestrians Horse fans were at last given a chance to form their own club at BHS, this year. The 32 members are divided into three groups - beginner, intermediate, and advancedg the first two groups participate in lessons at Coppergate Riding Stable. These two groups are divided in half so that on alternating weeks, half of the members goto a mounted lesson while the other half receives theoretical instruction con- cerned with topics such as stable management, grooming, and tack. Six people of the more advanced group performed a drill team exhib- ition for the entertainment of the crowd at the Thanksgiving Day game. Other activities that the group organized included a guest speaker, Major Von Vichy, who gave a lunging demon- stration, and the group also made tentative plans to ride in the New York St. Patrick's Day Parade. 1: Pam Lazor.
