4 '7fae11'f 'a UST AS youth is synonymous with fun and books, so the word mountaineers is synonymous with the students of Berlin Brothersvalley joint High School. The name mountaineer has been associated with our school for many years. A backward glance shows that the yearbooks were published under this name begin' ning in 1931. For more than twenty years the BBJHS athletes have been called mountaineers. This is the name by which our school newspaper is known. The word appears on the official school emblem and it has been used in the design of the new class ring. And so the mountaineer concept ranks high among the many traditions of our school with which we have grown up. We have created here an elfin Mountaineer-symbolic of the spirit of our school life- -to guide you through the pages of the twentieth Bervalon.
