Fall Brings Football Memories It ' s fall, and that, of course, means it is football season. And football season means many different things to different people. Football season is . . . . the roar of the crowd when we score. . cold weather and huddling beneath blankets in the stands. . practicing playing an instrument and marching at the same time. . the groans when the other team scores. . practicing for hours on a half time drill team show. . car caravans. . the presentation of the Homecoming queen. . . . seeing the exes home from college at Homecoming. The excitement of each game was evident in the crowd as the mighty Rams entered district 13- AAAA. Now football season is over, and our thoughts move to different things. But the memo- ries of fall and football season remain with us for- ever. sh Ram cheerleaders open another Ram pep rally. 16

Spring Fever Hits Berkner Spring came early to Richardson, and with it came a wealth of sunshine. It was welcomed by teachers and students alike, and then that dreaded disease struck — spring fever. It swept through the student body like wildfire, touching everyone and making them almost hate school. Teachers became wardens, keeping the students chained to their desks. Assignments were sentences from which there was no hope of escape. There were many reported cases of daydreaming, and the unreported cases are presumed to be in the thou- sands. Unfortunately, there is no known cure for this disease — except summer. And even that is not really a cure, but only a way to postpone the next attack. As long as there is Spring, students and teachers will be struck with spring fever. sh Is that what 1 think it is? Weight training seems to be hard 18
