Joan Niner, Janet Niner We, the Sophomore class entered the Junior High School in the year 1943-44. Most of us coming from the annex, Great Cacapon and country schools. In 1944 we experienced our first play, “The Modern Vision of Little Red Riding Hood.” This was the beginning of class participation in school activities. Among these were: assembly programs, sports, band and various contests carried on in the county. A member of our class achieved honor by winning the first prize in the annual Literary Contest. The majority of our class belongs to the following clubs: Hi-Y, Tri-Hi-Y, Letter, F. F. A., Glee Club and Beta Club. Dane Boggs, a newcomer from Glenville, West Virginia was unanimously voted our class president. FRESHMAN CLASS HISTORY I he school year of 1946-47 was a very successful one for the Freshman class. The class enrollment was 91, 41 boys and 50 girls. In the first semester 10 of our members have dropped, 8 boys and 2 girls. The class has an abundance of talent, 12 members in the band, 9 freshmen were on the football squad this year and 3 members make up the school’s Junior Varsity Basketball Team.
