Adding new life and sparkle to the band, two tubas, two snare drums, one bass drum, three clar- inets, two French horns, two trom- bones, one alto saxaphone and one flute were purchased. No attempt was made to replace all the instru- ments in the band. New members were added to the band as soon as they had completed their instruction under the dir- ection of Aaron H. Boettcher, band director.
