Missing the daily climb up the rickety wooden stairs of the old grade school, twenty-nine pairs of feet trod to the Masonic Temple to resume band practice the second semester. Adding new life and sparkle to the band, two tubas, two snare drums, one bass drum, three clar- inets, two French horns, two trom- bones, one alto saxaphone and one flute were purchased. No attempt was made to replace all the instru- ments in the band. New members were added to the band as soon as they had completed their instruction under the dir- ection of Aaron H. Boettcher, band director.
