Recalling Benny's favorite, football, we find that Beres- ford's gladiators were trampled a little in this year's games with two wins and four losses. Coached by Fred Meier and as- sistant coach Milton Shennum, they landed fourth place in the 1946 conference. Snoozy Physical perfectness is the Grecian standard, and it is in Greece that Helen and Benny discover records of sports and contests comparable to our modern basketball. Watchdogs, coached by Fred Meier, held their own on conference games this year, winning three and losing three. Losing a heartbreaker game to Hurley with a score of 50-51 in the District tourneys, Beres- ford was disqualified in the first round. Bill Thompson, forward, was chosen for the honorary tournament team.
