In Memory of our Classmate, JAY CUMPTON Somewhere there is a scout now waiting, Somewhere upon the road. Somewhere the bugle is calling Break camp and shoulder your load. Our packs are not very heavy in duty. We never shall fail as we travel the path he left us. Somewhere there's a scout up the trail. We must follow the banner he set for us. As we camped down there by the stream, The memory will linger forever, it is not merely a dream. As a scout he was ever on duty, As a friend he never would fail. , Let's up and shoulder our packs, boys! There is a scout somewhere up the trail He was faithful in the line of duty, A better friend could not be had. At our meetings we surely will miss him. With hearts that are silent and sad. He has heard the voice of the Master Whose love will always prevail. He is waiting up there with the angels, A scout at the end of the trail. Claude Fields
