This year's Homecoming was different from any of the past. For the first time the queen and her court were announced during the pep session. Due to these changes, the Queen and her court were able to reign over the game and the parade. The theme for the Homecoming Dance was A Time For Us . The gym was decorated in a combination of lavender and purple. The spirit at the Pep session this year was really great, especially from the Senior and Sophomore classes. The Sophomore class was awarded the spirit stick for their voracious support of the Rangers. The clubs and classes went all out to win the prize for the best floats in the 1969-70 Home- coming Parade. The result of their enthusiasm was one of the best parades in many years. Without a doubt one of the finest floats was the Senior class and Art Club float, although it didn ‘t win a prize. The night before the game a bonfire was held at Paula and Janice Odom's. There was a good turnout and everybody was in high spirits. a decorations, 1. Miss Armentrout and Mrs. Roberts receive a gift for the hard work and many hours put inon Homecoming decorations. 2. Queen Judy Barton opens her gift from the football team. 3. The finishing touches such as the fountain are added.
