G AS As = CRACK! There goes the ball. The Girl’s Athletic Association is for all girls. Its purpose is to create an interest in athletics, teach better sportsmanship and promote ideas in health. Activities are hayrides, skating, bowling, and many other sports. Twice 4 year there is a playday for the GAA members from different towns in this district and they engage in various sports. The officers are: Carolyn Browning, President; Phyllis Stull, Vice-President; Marilyn Rummier, Secretary; Marie Brandibus, Treasurer; Sponsor Mrs. Kimmel; Sue Browning and Pat Mick, Managers. Pep Club — The Spirit behind the Game Mrs. Kimmel, a new teacher this year at BCHS, is sponsor of the Pep Club. The Pep Club, with its members, composed of any student wishing to join, is formed each year mainly to promote a good cheering section at both football and basketball games. The Pep Club roped off a section in the stadium for all the students to sit in and cheer at the football games. This idea proved worthwhile as was more students sitting together and yelling.
