LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT We, the Senior Class of nineteen hundred and fifty-three of Benton Heights High School, City of Monroe, County of Union, and State of North Caro¬ lina, being of sound mind, and realizing our im¬ pending departure from this school, do hereby de¬ clare and make this our last will and testament. ARTICLE I To our principal, Mr. Oscar W. Broome, we wish to express our many thanks for the interest and leadership he has shown us during the past years. ARTICLE II To the faculty, we leave our sincere apprecia¬ tion for the efforts put forth to help us complete our studies. ARTICLE III To the class of nineteen hundred and fifty-four, we bequeath the honor and privilege of becoming seniors. To the rest of the students we leave our most treasured and loved gift, a great school. 1. Dalton Brantley bequeaths his bashfulness and good ways to David lerry. 2. I, Louvinia Broome, bequeath my love for attractive clothes and ability to play basketball to Donnie Helms. 3. Elizabeth Cooke leaves her favorite giggle to Joanne Helms. 4. Gene Helms leaves his peroxided hair to " Hobo” Derrick. Jimmy Helms leave his athletic ability to Monte Helms. Johnnie Jean Helm s bestows her friendliness to Coleen Moore.
