B.H. 84 MUSKEGON 48
Number 13 held no terrors for B.H.H.S. as the
Tigers hit 51 Ok of their shots to trample Muskegon
and extend their winning streak to 13, the longest
since 1945. Harbor had two men in the 20-point
column, Walker with 27 and Yarbrough close be-
hind with 24. The Big Reds trailed by only 6
points, 21-15, at the end of the first quarter, but
managed to tally only 4 in the next eight minutes
while the Orange-and-Blacks were sinking another

Records fell by the wayside as the Tigers
sank a sizzling 5023 of their shots against a
Kazoo squad that tried hard but couldn't keep up.
The 80-point total was the highest ever scored
against a Maroon Giant team and the 40-point
spread was the greatest margin of defeat ever
suffered by Kazoo. All this came after a trying
first quarter which found the Harbor squad on the
short end of a 12-11 tally. Chester Walker returned
to his regular form, sinking shots from any and
all angles for 27 points. Ron Lange and Duane
Dunbar also kept the nets buzzing with 18 and 16

Mickey Yarbrough scored over 20 points for the
first tirne in his varsity career to pace the Orange
and Black squad to a well-earned victory over the
Vikings of Niles. Tiger domination of the back-
boards was a main feature in this tilt as they took
78 shots-27 more than Niles could get away.
Walker was held to only 17 points and Ron Lange

B.H. 54 HOLLAND 44
After their prestige-filled conquest of Muskegon
Heights, our high-flying Tigers had difficulty get-
ting their feet back on the ground as they eased
past the Dutchmen by IO points. Ron Lange kept
Harbor in the game in the first half, scoring I4 of
his 16 points. Chet Walker took over in the sec-
ond half, sinking a total of 17 after a meager 5-
point first half.

B.H. 51 MUSKEGON HEIGHTS 59
Our fond dreams of the first undefeated season
in l3 years were cruelly shattered by a much-im-
proved, defensive-minded Muskegon Heights five
who cancelled the Tigers' winning string at 13. Per-
centages tell the story as Benton Harbor, forced to
shoot from outcourt, hit 38M while Heights
burned the nets with Slfk. B.H.H.S. led only
briefly in the first quarter and trailed 29-28 at
halftime. They couldn't keep pace in the second
half, however, and trailed at one time by ll points.
Senior guard Duane Dunbar played one of the
most outstanding games of his career as he kept
the Tigers in the contest with l8 points. Walker
was held to l3 and Lange managed lO.

B.H. 70 NILES 29
Chester! Chester! Give it to Chester! roared the
crowd as he neared his record-shattering Al-point
tally in this, the final game on the Colfax court
of his 3 very successful years on the varsity. With
only l5 seconds left he sank two free tosses to
eclipse the old record of 40 which he set against
Holland last year. Chet outscored the entire Viking
squad by l2 points. Dunbar was next in line
with lO, but 6 other Tigers broke into the scoring
column with at least 2 points each.
