Sixty-five members comprise Footlighters Drama Club
whose aim is to promote interest in dramatic activities
in high school, to encourage seeing and reading good
plays, and to assist with special proiects in staging,
costuming, and lighting. Special proiects for this year
include a sock hop, an annual theatre trip to Chicago,
participation in Parents' Drama Night and Western
Michigan Conference Drama Day in the spring. Pro-
ceeds from the sock hop and other projects are to be
used to buy lighting equipment tor the department.

The purpose of Barrymore Thespian Troupe if 455 is to
"Create a spirit of active and intelligent interest in dramatics
among boys and girls of our secondary schools." Members
must have a "B" average. This year's club program included
a trip to Chicago to see "The Diary of Anne Frank" and the
"Ray Rayner TV Show." Thespians sponsored a dance, a
Parent's Drama Night, attended the Regional Conference at
Western Michigan College in the spring, and will attend the
Purdue University at Lafayette, indiana, this summer.
