Any boy in high school may become a
member of the Rifle Club. The club is a
member of the National Rifle Association and
as a member takes part in the monthly postal
matches where they are rated with all rifle
clubs in America. The club also participates
in the national matches each spring. Safety
in handling fire arms is stressed at their

Candy Stripers, because they wear pink and
white striped pinafores while working, are girls
in the tenth, eleventh, or twelfth grade who are
interested in nursing and other careers in the
medical field. By working in the hospital they
give service to their community. The girls work
in pairs for two hours twice a month. Each pair
works in the coffee shop, takes the cart around
to the rooms, delivers mail, or entertains the chil-
dren in pediatrics.

The Benton Harbor Junior Girls' Rifle Club has
eleven members who meet every Tuesday evening
at the Y.M.C.A. The girls learn to shoot in the tour
positions, prone, sitting, kneeling, and oft hand. They
may earn ratings ranging from Promarksman to
The team may shoot in National Postal matches
against all the clubs in the nation during November,
December, January and February. Each spring a
team of four is selected to shoot in the National
matches which will be shot at Culver Military
