Mu Alpha Theta or Math,Club is or-
ganized to bring forth keener interest in
mathematics, to develop sound scholarship
in the subiect, and to promote enioyment
of mathematics among high school students.
The members of the club are chosen by
their scholastic record. This club invites guest
speakers and has various proiects consist-
ing of unsolved and solved problems, in
this way learning more about the many
phases of the subiect.

The Student Council is made up of seven-
teen aldermen and three officers: the Mayor,
the Chief of Police, and the Clerk.
The Student Council schedules assemblies
including safety programs, is in charge of
fire drills, manages the book store, sponsors
the annual train trip and decides on matters
brought up before them.

To encourage and promote scholarship, leadership, charac-
ter, and service in the students of Benton Harbor High
School is the purpose of the National Honor Society. With
these qualities as measuring devices, the faculty selects out-
standing iunior and senior students into its membership.
lnduction ceremonies are held in the spring and in the fall.
