hospital. They tour a different department at each monthly meeting. One of the

A new addition has been made to the Future Nurses Club this year. It is the
Practical Nursing group composed of junior and senior girls who are not eligible
for becoming registered nurses, but who are interested in bedside work in the
hospital. At their monthly meetings these girls hear lectures on the work of a
practical nurse and the attitude they should have to accompany this work. Miss
Rachel Christe, head of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, is the sponsor of this
group with the help of Mrs. Frances Schwale, head of the Practical Nursing division
of the Benton Harbor and St. Joseph area.
