The girls' tennis team, coached hy' Miss Vanderheck. had a successful year in 1956
with four out of five winnings. Niles heat us once, then for the first time in three
vears we whitewashed them when they came down here. ln the other three games. we

Fielding a team of average strength and lmetter than average depth, the Benton
Harbor golf team "sliced', up a record of five wins, seven losses, and one tie. Don
Virkus usually played first man and was followed by C. Rubin, D. Parks, W. Preston,
B. Erikson, and J. Skelton somewhat in that order.
ln the eight school regional class A match held at Battle Qreek. Benton Harbor
placed a strong fifth, but lacked the needed points of one good showing. Nevertheless,
considering the youth of the squad, there is no reason for complaint, and we have
